Last Sunday Apple approved our first little iPhone app! It's called 7am and it's mainly a project to learn the different steps needed to ceate an iPhone app (there are a few you know).
Jelle recently bought a Nespresso espresso machine and got a box with all 16 blends. Each time we had to decide which coffee to drink next. Would it be a Fortissio Lungo? Or the Cappriccio maybe? Well, to solve this life threatening problem we built 7am. It randomly chooses one of the blends and shows you which one it thinks you could drink next. It shows the strongness and type alongside the chosen blend.
Tap the screen (or shake if activated) if you don't like the proposed blend and 7am will show another one. You can limit the selection in the apps preferences if you don't have all the 16 bends so that 7am won't propose a blend you don't have. It will work both on iPhone and iPhone Touch (with 3.0 installed) and is available for free in the iTunes App Store.
The source code is available as well - as always with our projects - so have a look at the repository when you are a developer yourself and want to know how to handle shaking or customize the layout of a table.
Check out the screenshots and video on the 7am product page.
